Greg’s experience dates back to an early age of 5 years old when he followed his dad around to jobs for his company, Lambert Suess Construction, initiated in 1961. Lambert was trained as a furniture builder by old time German craftsman during the G.I bill era and transferred this knowledge to his custom residential building company that operated more than 40 years in the Albany area, building many of the large homes in the Doublegate and Brentwood north areas. Greg has worked with his father’s company in all phases of the home building business from foundation layout, trim, paint, frame and even some brick lying. After college, Greg worked for M&M Mars Inc for 26 years and in the afternoons and weekends worked for his dad and in 1998 started his own company, Greg Suess Construction, specializing in custom residential building. Greg retired from M&M at age 50 in 2006 and help form GRAP Restoration to service the insurance customer.
Greg feels the secret to success in any business is to "perform ONLY quality work with the utmost integrity" and "Do what you say you are going to do." He tries to instill this thinking into all GRAP Restorations associates and sub contractors. Greg is licensed in the state of Georgia as a residential/light-commercial contractor.
Greg attended Georgia Southern and Georgia Southwestern University where he received a B. S degree in 1981 in Agricultural Science and Business with a minor in biological science and completed 2 years at Valdosta State University in 1983 in the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program.
